Setting up an employee with Advanced Settings

 

In the Employees section, the Advanced tab is used to bypass system settings that may need to be different for specific employees. For example, a certain employee may need to be excluded from the payroll export.

  1. Select Employees from the navigation list.
  2. Choose the employee you wish to work with from the list or select + New to add a new employee.
  3. Configure the desired settings for the employee.
  4. Go to the Advanced tab.
  5. Select the Do Not Include In Exports option if data for the employee shouldn't be included in the file you export for payroll. Example: You may want to use this option for employee who are paid through a temporary agency.
  6. Select the Enable Lockouts option if the employee should be restricted from Clocking In too early or Clocking Out too late. Please Note:ClosedLockout zones are assigned through the fixed shifts that are applied to the employees. 
  7. Select the Allow Door Access option if the employee's badge swipe or PIN will activate the relay on the clock to open a door strike at the facility.  Please Note:ClosedThis option is hardware dependent and currently only supported with the CT70, CT72, PC600 and FR700 clocks. 
  8. Select the Ignore Holiday Calendar option if holidays should not be automatically applied in the timecard.  Please Note:ClosedHoliday Calendars are only available in the Enterprise version of PayClock Online.
  9. Select the Ignore Premium Time Rules option if the employee should not accumulate premium time while working in a premium zone. Please Note:ClosedPremium Time is only available in the Enterprise version of PayClock Online.
  10. If desired, select an alternate holiday calendar from the list and set the duration of the probation period.  Please Note:ClosedHoliday Calendars are only available in the Enterprise version of PayClock Online.
  11. Select Override Maximum Hours Out To Start a New Shift to bypass the setting in the pay class. Enter how long an employee must be clocked Out before PayClock will automatically start a new shift.
  12. Select Override Maximum Work Day Length to bypass the setting in the pay class. Enter how long an employee can work in one day.
  13. Select the Punched Break Override to set up a punched break for an individual employee.  The choices available are paid or unpaid.  You must then configure the settings for the break. Please Note: ClosedAny shifts assigned to the employee will override this break setting.
  14. Select the Auto Deduct Break Override to set up an automatically deducted break for an individual employee. You must then configure the settings for the automatically deducted break. Please Note: ClosedAny shifts assigned to the employee will override this break setting.
  15. Once complete select Save.
